Interrobang team. Nice work. Quick questions. Does this new version lock in place? The previous version had a flush cut out handle to pull the tray out, this one has a raised bar to pull? I get everyone has their own use case, but wondering why that was changed? I find it easier to slide things...
Mine wasn’t nearly that bad but very annoying and there is absolutely a fix for it as others have mentioned. Mine was done by mobile tech and here’s a picture of the invoice description. Hope this helps.
I had exactly the same issue on my 2023 R1T and the only fix was to replace it. It's pretty involved, the entire center console had to be taken apart. The good news is mobile service was able to do it. I live in NH, so not having to go to Chelsea was a relief.
My experience with everything I've ordered from the Gear Shop is it takes 14 days from ordering to receipt. I'm on the East Coast, so maybe that adds some time but I've always waited at least 2 weeks to receive my orders.
This^. I had the exact same problem and mobile service fixed it quickly. Required reinstalling the wiper arm which wasn't installed properly at the factory. I wouldn't mess with it.
While I was looking through the gear shop to see if we can order a drawer to replace the camp speaker (apparently the standard on lower trim Gen 2 vehicles) I noticed a couple items in the gear shop are "compatible with Gen 1 vehicles only". My biggest surprise was the manual tonneau cover. I...
I was able to play around with the new configurator (not looking to actually reserve/build a new R1T) and noticed some interesting changes. On the DM configurations the air compressor (now called a utility panel) is a $650 option, the camp speaker is a $450 option and the 22' sport bright wheels...
Not sure if there is a “list” being compiled but I would definitely buy an R1T in Rivian Blue with Ocean Coast interior. Thanks!
@Therivianguy please put me on the list . Thanks!
I had this happen to me today for the first time as well. My R1T was sitting in the driveway in the sun for a few hours (usually in the garage) and I couldn't get either side to charge the rest of the day.
NOTE: Nothing on the surface of the unit above where the pucks are was warm to the touch.
I agree! Every other car I own with cameras works that way. Hopefully it’s on the “list” of things to be added in a future OTA. Seems like it would be very easy to do.
I'm wondering if anyone has purchased the Rivian Sunshade from the Gear Shop? If so, is it well made? I'm trying to compare it to the Covercraft UVS100, which is ~$25 less and seems to be viewed very favorably. TIA!
Thanks for supporting the Rivian community. Looking forward to future products. While I’m still on the fence regarding the gear tunnel sled due to shipping costs, I plan on ordering the bed extender today. Thanks again!
