If only I was that smart. *sighs*...
I paid a bit more than $73k. I was a "new used" purchaser. Purchased with about 400 miles on it in 2022. The new owner sold it to a Volvo dealer over here and i purchased from them. I think there is a thread somewhere in my history where I talk about that...
Here's the door ding as clear as I could catch it:
I think it would take about $250 max worth of a PDR person's time along with some buffing/compound work on the paint to fix that mar in the clear coat:
It was caused by me trying to squeeze out of the truck in my garage too close to...
$68,000 OBO (Prosper Texas Area)
2022 Rivian R1T Launch Edition (Quad Motor, Large Battery).
(clear blue texas title in hand)
10,200 miles
This truck has the 20" Dark AT Wheels, Offroad Underbody. Powered Tonneau Cover.
I would say on a scale of 1-10 this is about an 9.5. No major scratches...
Mine ended up being the 12v batteries were pulled down too low before the charger kicked in. I carried it in and they replaced them again, and it’s been about a year since then with no more issues.
I would just claim on my insurance. They will go after rivian if they think there is a chance they can recoup. Not your problem anymore. It will be rivians.
OP:
If that garage has a door that door will need 110v (usually an outlet on the ceiling). Just use that and charge it over night. 110v should get you by enough to where you will only need to fast charge occasionally.
Mine flutters a bit but I've never seen it dent like that. I'm usually too busy getting a free hand massage from my steering wheel to care at highway speeds.
This will be great for future truck owners who might want to service their own vehicle.
Or upgrade it honestly. One unit to drop, peel apart, get a DC jolt and die. None of this piddly multi component jazz. Who has time for that?
This post was sarcasm.
My F-250 6.7 Powerstroke has a shunt on one of its two batteries that's similar, but it is connected to the "side" of the battery and has three or four terminals.
Since there is no fancy frunk panel covering it ford covers it individually.
Truck back at home.
New 12v installed.
I still personally don't think it's fixed, but I guess we will see in three months or so.
Rivian gets 1 more try before it qualifies for lemon. ?‍? Which is a shame because it's such a silly issue.
It seems when the 12v are at a low SOC you'll get all sorts of random errors. My particular issue is it's intermittent. One day they will be low, the next they will be fine. These aren't your standard batteries though, lots of terminals.
I hope they got all those terminals nice and tight this...
Rivian service has completed work on the truck. They just replaced the batteries.
I mentioned to the Tech that this is the third set of 12v batteries this truck has had in 5,000 miles and i was concerned that it was a symptom of the problem with the onboard charger or something else and he...
Rivian remote diagnostics revealed that the battery is frequently discharging to "9 volts" before the charger kicks in to replenish it.
They said it looks like a loose connection.
Going into service next Wednesday for them to check it out.
