I am not versed on the specific benefits of forging vs. casting, but do know that generally forging is associated with a higher performing wheel. I don't know how much absolute wheel strength matters on a 20" rim on a 34" tire, but can see strength benefits of sports car wheels with tiny aspect...

Nope, you just lift the bikes in, and reach over the side, pull the lever down towards the cab and you're done. you only need to get in to install/reinstall if you remove the racks.
I like the Builtright solution, but am going to go with their side Molle panel, so I can attach my WaterPort Day...
I'm surprised to learn you'd not use the rack to anchor anything to the bed. I have the Ride88 rack that has an attachment track that only uses the top 4 existing spots in the bed and that seems super solid, I use with 2 MTBs with total confidence.

Gaia integration....or, at least, I want the ability to send .gpx files for routes I create online, directly to the truck to follow. This is better than driving and looking at my phone or iPad every time I come to a junction when I'm following (for instance) forest roads or trails.
