  1. RAN Charging Costs are now live! (at certain stations)

Well my app is showing them all free again. Maybe this was a mistake and it is actually coming s00n.
  2. RAN Charging Costs are now live! (at certain stations)

Agreed. It would also be nice for them to reintroduce the Rivian subscription they were touting. It would be nice to have an all-in-one bundle for LTE, cheaper charging, and other features. Have three tiers for RAN: non-Rivian, Rivian, Rivian premium. ?
  3. RAN Charging Costs are now live! (at certain stations)

Looks like charging costs are live for RAN sites in Virginia, at least in the app. I feel like this is fair pricing
  4. Is Rivian preparing to update trucks to accept 300kw?

They do but even the ones with old resistive heating systems can charge at 250kw. I had a 2018 Model 3 and it regularly fast charged at 250kw max.
  5. Is Rivian preparing to update trucks to accept 300kw?

that’s what my OP was saying. The app shows 300kw max for that specific RAN charger… the others still show 215kw max. This RAN charger just opened like a week ago.
  6. Is Rivian preparing to update trucks to accept 300kw?

Did not realize that 500a was the limit for CCS1. So does that mean Rivian will need to move to a 800v architecture in order to achieve the 300kw? Because 400v x 500a is in the 200kw ballpark.
  7. Is Rivian preparing to update trucks to accept 300kw?

I still don’t understand how Tesla can pull off 250kw with a smaller battery pack. I guess the battery temperature system isn’t as good. It’s gonna really suck for max pack trucks if they don’t update it.
  8. Is Rivian preparing to update trucks to accept 300kw?

I noticed today that the RAN charger in Meadows of Dan, VA is showing a max output of 300kw v. the typical 215kw max it typically show for RAN chargers. Has anyone heard whispers of our vehicles finally getting an update to 300kw? I haven’t heard anything lately about speed bumps for DC fast...
  9. Roanoke VA RAN charging station is online!

I agree. That EvGo station in front of the target is too slow and has a 60 min limit.
  10. Roanoke VA RAN charging station is online!

I’m happy about it. I live in DC now but grew up in Pigeon Forge so this route couldn’t be more perfect for me… all my family still is in Tennessee so I’m down there usually once every couple of months. ?
  11. Roanoke VA RAN charging station is online!

It is right in the parking lot of the Rent-A-Center in Riverton Commons. Yes. Good location for both 66 traffic and Skyline Drive.
  12. Roanoke VA RAN charging station is online!

I think it’s also why they opened the one in Blowing Rock. Rivian seems to be targeting the “naturey” routes because of brand aesthetic© ?
  13. Roanoke VA RAN charging station is online!

I went and checked on the ones in Front Royal a couple of weeks ago, they are still covered.?
  14. Roanoke VA RAN charging station is online!

It is a bit off of 81, but I think they also chose this location because of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
  15. Roanoke VA RAN charging station is online!

Looks like the first RAN in Virginia is online! This is along the I-81 corridor.
  16. Planning summer trip to St. John's, Newfoundland

Hey, unfortunately that ferry doesn’t run until mid June and also all of the pet friendly rooms are booked for most voyages. No I don’t see anything on the website about a charger on the boat but that would be nice If they implement that. I plan to charge to 100% in North Sydney before taking...
  17. Planning summer trip to St. John's, Newfoundland

Good morning all, I am in the beginning stages of planning a (long) road trip to St. John's, Newfoundland in June of this year. I planned to take the North Sydney, NS to Port Aux Basques, NL ferry with my R1T. Then driving the rest of the way over to St. John's. Any experience with taking an...
  18. IIHS crash test R1T take off parts available for purchase

I’m sure they are open to negotiation being a salvage yard. Because I agree, too expensive.
  19. IIHS crash test R1T take off parts available for purchase
