I face a similiar dilemma when I leave my T alone for the summer.
Here's what Rivian suggests
-Set on Shipping Mode (that will put in lowest energy usage )
-Keep plugged in
-Set to 80%
I did this for the first time last year and had zero issues over 4 months.
Couldn't agree with you more..As i just stated on a post, RJ got caught up in the overpromising thing..Wall Street analysts are notorious on being surprised and their retribution..I honestly believe they only care about being right and not about the success of a company...Adam Jonas supoprted a...
All good points about 2025 but RJ has been bitten numerous times when he over promised and under delivered..He's learned his lesson...My bet is once the Q2 shut down is complete/successful, there is a very good chance we hear R2 is produced sometime/latter half of 2025.. Re: your other points, I...
Ive experienced the exact opposite of you...MY guide,Sarah was great up to the actual delivery and the delivery person spent 1.5 hours when they brought the T...AND i'll be bringing in my T for a new Auto Tonneau on April 1st at the newly opened Tampa service center....I'll report back on that...
These are last mile vehicles...I've spoken with our local Amazon delievry guy who loveeeessss the new van. He said he has more than enough range for his route.
And there it is....2 autos now on my profile..the first is my R1T, the second, the R2. If you click on the 2nd auto, you'll see R2 and the receipt for the deposit...It populated within a few hours of my reservation!!!!
reservation!!!
One thing is for sure..RJ has a LONG history of surprising the markets...That was evident when they first introduced the R1T by total surprise....Back then, private markets didn't care that much but once you're in the public domain, surprises , sometimes aren't well received...Would be great for...
The street never likes being surprised (embarrassed) and that's exactly what happened. RJ does not play the Wall Street game and apparently doesn't talk that much, if at all with analysts. I went back and listened to Q2 and Q3 earnings calls..RIVN clearly warned of the Amazon delivery...
In hindsight, Farley was wrong and I'm not surprised.
-RIVN is outproducing and selling more EVS than big old Ford
-Amazon has loosened up their deal and now AT&T should be next
-F didnt understand that plumbers etc don't want EVs yet and those willing to spend $70+++ for an EV don't want to...
Vampire drain is a thing of the past for me…
I left my T for 6 days…lost 4 miles….irrelevant in my book.
clearly Rivian has been slowly and quietly improving this over the past year
- gear guard off
- proximity off
With all do respect to Jim, little old RIVN is selling way more Ts than F150e....Why is that? Because Jimmy thought all his plumbers wanted EV trucks..Guess what...he was wrong and most people who want to spend on a premium EV Truck don't want a Ford...That's the reality and the same thing will...
Hey...I think we'll know very soon as the R2 gets introduced in Q1, 2024...and Im assuming they'll start taking reservations thereafter..RJ made a pricing error once before..He doesn't strike me as the kind of individual that makes the same mistake twice...and he's definitely an underpromise...
