I’m all for subsidy deals but they need to be tied to proper incentive goals and retention objectives. They also should have a basis in reality that will allow for the money laid out to be recovered in other areas like increased local businesses or tourism.
Glendale AZ practically bankrupted their city with the incentives for the NFL and NHL deals that will never produce what they gave up.
I think people need to take some basic finance courses to be able to run for government positions.

These deals have never produced the results predicted yet states and cities keep handing them out like Halloween candy. If they put half that energy into simply making their localities places that people and businesses want to live, there would be no need for subsidies.
