Out of curiosity, is it faster to use a manual shortcut then to use the widget?

My widget is so slow. Like if the truck is asleep it doesn’t do anything. I have to open the app.

Well, that's the tradeoff, isn't it? People complain if the vehicle doesn't respond *immediately* because it's asleep, but they also complain if the truck stays awake because that uses up battery power (aka "vampire drain").
