iOS 27 confirmed working with Rivian app and as a key

I installed iOS 27 dev beta 1 and everything just worked. Didn't have to redo any pairings or anything. iPhone 17 Pro, Gen 1 R1T.

This morning my smart glasses had a fit for a few minutes with their BT connection to the phone (constant drop/connect). So, there may be instability there that could also affect the Rivian. It is dev 1, you have to be pretty stupid to load it on your primary phone, lol.

I've had zero issues with the Rivian, even though I have random disconnects with both my glasses and my glucose monitor. One huge problem though; you can't exit from Angry Birds using the swipe gesture at the bottom of the screen. Nothing happens. You have to swipe down and choose another app to switch to.

WatchOS is similarly still working fine with the Rivian. And although not Rivian specific, this really helps with my usage with it. By default it now shows your most-used apps on the app screen when you press the crown button. You can also manually limit the number of apps on the Watch screen, and have huge icons. These are the only things I use, and previously the Watch wouldn't let you remove their built-in garbage apps. The mess was annoying and made hitting the Rivian app more challenging.

I’m getting terrible speakerphone echo since upgrading to the beta. Everything else is working as expected though.

Thank you! I can't wait for this to hit mainstream - I only do about 5 things on my watch and the face, because of the delivered apps I don't use, is a mess so I end up using my phone instead. This will make the watch much more useful to me.

Opening the Rivian app on my watch (running 26, not a beta) worked fine, however. After that I tried just turning Bluetooth off and on on my phone and it started working again fully.

My wife and I both have noticed some random Bluetooth issues still persisting in beta 2. She can make the entire Bluetooth stack and user interface crash out by doing one certain thing, then nothing will connect.

iOS 27 Dev Beta 3 is now available, this is where I start to think about installing on my primary devices as it’s typically the precursor to the Public Beta which is normally functionally stable (as far as Beta’s go).

Anybody using Beta 3 seeing any show stopping issues?

Nope, but I can’t get the new document based app API to work for my hobby navigation app. My sole user is laughing at me

Beta 3 fixed my bluetooth issues and some random crashing. I still can’t properly exit out of Angry Birds on the iPad.
