I'd like to install a 12V outlet in the bed, where I can connect a wiring harness to my iKamper rooftop tent to power 2 LED lights, a USB-C outlet for phone, and a 12V outlet for the mattress inflator/deflator pump.

I'm planning to use this waterproof Cnlinko connector: https://www.amazon.com/CNLINKO-Industrial-Waterproof-Connector-Anti-Interference/dp/B0CNNXF9VV/

Looking for a good place to mount this that will not get in the way of loading cargo into the bed. This spot (circled in photo) seems like a good candidate. Before I try removing that side panel, I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has done this before?

Running the wire into the gear tunnel should be easy, based on what I read in this thread. I will power it from my Pecron E1000 battery in the gear tunnel so it works when the truck is asleep. Or if I don't want to bring the Pecron, this could easily be plugged directly into the gear tunnel 12V outlet instead.

I’m planning to use a Pecron battery. (Similar to Jackery.) It also powers the fridge which is installed in the backseat. I don’t want these things in the bed because of rain. (And I don’t want a tonneau cover because it limits the vertical height of other cargo.)

Maybe use a 120V to 12V adapter and use the outlet that is already in the bed.
The 120V inverter is a big power hog so I don’t want to run it while camping. I only turn it on briefly while cooking (induction). I keep the Pecron charged while driving, and then use it while camping.
