2 year registration?

Took delivery in September. Just realized my registration expires in 2023. I recall my new vehicles in the past had inspection good for 2 years so would get registration sticker expiring 2 years as well. Did everyone else only get one year on their Rivian in Texas? Not sure if this will s a Rivian thing due to how they register, an EV thing, or just my dumb luck.

I believe the requirement for 2 year registration only applies to new vehicles purchased through a dealer which would preclude Rivian or the purchaser from registering for 2 years.

Yeah I figured it had something to do with the way we purchase the Rivian. No big deal just wanted to make sure it wasn’t just me.

I live in Houston and ran into the same thing when I bought my Tesla. Those 2-year registrations appear to be exclusive to dealers.
