OK, this thread has convinced me to abandon the 21's to be able to do the summer/winter swap.

With that decision made, any opinions on whether I should go with 20's or 22's? I'm a suburban family commuter, not an offroad enthusiast. My priorities, after safety, are mileage and a quiet ride.
I don’t off-road either and went 22s for this exact reason…

I ordered these today for my stock 22's and I'll run them in the winter and keep the stock tires for the summer. I paid a little less than the current price, TireRack just raised the price...

Are you concerned that the X-Ice tires are only rated for 2,679lbs vs. the OEM tires rated at 2,756lbs load? Also, I have read on this forum that many tire shops won't install tires with a load rating below OEM tire ratings for liability reasons. Do you think that is going to be an issue?

No. Zero concerns.

with a gross vehicle weight of about 8500 pounds tires with a load rating of 115 should give me over 10,700 pounds of total carrying capacity. That means 2200 pounds of cargo. For reference in F1 50s total cargo capacity is about 1600 pounds so I doubt I will ever come close to that and I never plan on towing with this vehicle so it doesn’t matter to me.

Sounds good!!

I've had the X-Ice winter tires on two vehicles in the last 10yrs... really excellent in snow. As a mater of fact, they were so good.. once the roads were more or less cleared of deep snow and left with a packed coating of snow, we used to take my Plug-in-Prius out leaving our 4X4 Expedition home.

For everyone running the Blizzak DM-V2s, what tire pressure are you running?

I've got them at 40 PSI now and they seem a bit low, which makes sense as the R1T door placard says 48 PSI. But, the max pressure on the sidewall is 44 PSI and I feel a bit weird about running a tire at it's stated max pressure.

My shop didn't want to deal with removing the panels and said they didn't have rubber pads for their lift. Since the frame is painted I didn't want to remove the panels for them and have the frame scratched. So I bought the Rivian Style pucks and it was quick and easy for them to put the truck on the lift.
Glad you had great success with our Magentic Jack Pucks! Makes the job far simpler and no removing of the plastic panels and all the associated screws.
