I'm certainly thinking about it! When I ordered these, it took a while to get it shipped so I don't want to run into that issue again if I get another R1S.

If at a dealership, you typically pay the dealerships local tax and the true up with your local taxes when you register. Every car I've bought out of state was with a dealership and the taxes were less than my local ones, so I paid the difference at time of registration.

For private party sale, you just pay taxes when you register. Keep in mind that, legally, you need to get a temporary registration in the state you bought it to drive it on the roads until you register in your home state.
