Gary is back but only working part-time.
The entire time drive cam incidents worked. just not the security motion cams recordings. now The Count gets some motion cam recordings but not all.

Yeah mine seems to be picking up motion events again, but I can't explain why things changed, given I've not done anything. Maybe Yetis take long naps in the Summer or something?

My Gary is back. My proximity locking is working again. My random SOS malfunction alert seems to have gone back to normal. And, the small driver’s display map box is back as an option. Don’t know what they did, but it all seems to be working, for now.

Hard reset brought back Motion Cam Gary, but only for a day and a half. Back to no Gary Motion Cam.

Same here, no point in doing a reset as after a few sleeps it is not working again. It actually records the events but does not show them on the display afterward.
Does it work for anyone (GEN1)? All the problems started for me after the last update (or 2 last updates as they were very close in time)

Gary is supposedly coming back from vacation in the next update:
- Fixed a rare issue that prevented video files from Motion Cam, Alarms, Gear Guard, and Incident Cam from displaying.

In a previous response, I noted that Gary was back and my proximity locking feature was fixed. I was wrong. Neither is fixed. Gary just stopped by to tease me before heading off on his next adventure.

Welcome to the "rare" occurence club. I bet most of the GEN 1 owners have these issues (just look at the FB posts). Especially empty motion screen and navigation black screen. It is a critical bug that was supposed to be fixed as an OTA within a week. Until now, I have 2-3 soft restarts per day to get navigation back. Turning off Wifi helps to limit this to one soft reset. I had mobile service (for a different noncritical issue), and it seems they are very well aware of these bugs.
I understand that issues may happen, and QA can miss. I get it. This is the time when you can see if the company is serious and knows how to deal with this or not. Unfortunately, Rivian did not pass this test. I hope they will improve, but first, they need to stat communicating and not be silent... IMHO

Well, never a dull moment with my T. I do love this rig, but sometimes these things can be a little frustrating. I guess it’s human nature to want to be able to connect the dots when there is an issue, and solve whatever riddle one is dealing with. With these computers on wheels, that is clearly an irrational expectation. But, I still try. Hoping for some resolutions with this latest update. Mercifully, none of my issues have halted my daily use of the truck.

With this latest update, just installed, Gary has come home. He’s even sharing some videos he recorded while away. I think the back to the office policy caught up with him. The live camera views are awesome. Keeping my fingers crossed on proximity locking.
