Anyone heard any rumors as to when the R1T Quad Max is going to be out? Seems like the Tri bumped up production recently so that they are now in the Shop when just a couple of weeks ago it said 4-7 month delivery estimate. I am debating on getting a Tri soon or holding out for the Quad I have a reservation on.
Thanks.

That’s my lean, but I would love some insight as to timing. If it turns out to be February I would be fine, if it’s October I’m going to be annoyed waiting that long and might just want to get a Tri now.

When copper winding shortage is over, TM production resumes/recovers, to clear way for new start date for QM. Short answer: who knows.

“Who knows”? - I’m thinking Rivian knows. Even if there is some degree of uncertainty they must have some sense of if we are looking at early 2025 vs. Fall/Winter 2025. It would be nice for them to provide even qualified estimates to their customers.

Any news on the (new)quad R1T production dates? I have a launch edition and ready to refresh. I’ve been pretty hard on it ;-)

As shared by RJ on social medial, the motors are in production at least. Beyond that... WTFK.

I'll take the tires but not the wheels. Wheels are fugly. Nothing a set of Atomic Wheels can't fix though.

Rear needs to be wider than 8.5"

I agree. Atomic has some nice 9" wheels that would be a good start. I am not a big fan of staggered wheels for the street. I swapped out the wheels on my Plaid for a square setup running 295/35/20 on 20x10's all around and it definitely hooks up well.

Atomic wheels could always make a custom set too.

There is no reason you can't put "front" tires on the rear.

And I doubt Gen 1 owners will see much improvement from wider rear tires unless Rivian allows us to input the staggered setup into the config and also uses that info to adjust the power delivery algorithms.
