Yeah I just quickly decided to take a video, I should’ve put it in landscape, my bad lol. I tried to post this on Reddit and they compressed the video so horribly it looks awful. I’m not sure what’s up with the videos. I filmed them on an iPhone 12 Pro Max

Thanks for sharing! It indeed has some lags when zoom in on map and when switching between tabs. But as a software person, I feel this can definitely be fixed via OTA, their engineers should be able to write some optimizations to pre-load the content in async so the interactions will be smooth after several seconds of car start

Yeah it was definitely not as fast as Tesla‘s system, but they said this would be addressed on OTA updates. I’m optimistic, I think they have a very good platform to work from

That forest green looks so darn good, I’m really really considering it, just with Rivian blue might be a little much, but why not I’ve gone this deep, even added the camp kitchen and tent too, because again it’s only money… ?

I have yet to see any of them in person, but FE plus silver might be a good combo. FE looks somewhat like a grey-green, to me.

As someone who also works in software, it’s not bad but definitely could be better. I’m a stickler for 60fps animations and refresh rates minimum on everything in a UI. My Tesla doesn’t even get there with this (probably because the MCU is honestly quite old and not that powerful) but hoping the Rivian can get there.

I’d love to find out the specs of which SoC Rivian is using.

Not sure about silver but I’ve configured mine with white. Dark green and white is I think an aesthetically pleasing combo, moreso in the case of Hunter Green (think classic green Land Rover with white steelies) but I expect it to look good in this shade as well.
