I finally said screw it and went away from the stock Pirelli's. I've had I think 4 sets of the stock Pirelli's over the years, never complained and never had a problem. They do get a bit loud when they're old, but otherwise zero issues in the Colorado mountains.
I've really been wanting to see about 35's and just went for it. I went with 35x12.5 (full spec is 35x12.5R20) just because I wanted some wider meaty tires to protect the rims off roading. The stock tires barely protect the rims off roading and I hate how scratched up my darks are. So I went for it!
YES, it will absolutely rub in low/lowest, I haven't even tried lol.
NO, no rubbing (at all) in standard height doing anything (so far)
