Interesting...it's not just lock & unlock. I can use it to drive as well? Without my phone or fob?

Rivian said:
Accessing your Rivian and driving is easy: Gen 1 drivers can lock or unlock their vehicle with a tap of the “lock” icon, and with the app open, you're ready to drive. Gen 2 customers have passive entry; once your digital key is set up, you can just walk up to your Rivian, and it will automatically unlock as you approach, allowing you to get in and go.

Which is literally the opposite of reality. Oh well.
The only smart watch I have ever owned is my Apple Watch, so I am definitely biased, but seems like a no-brainer that the adventurenerd crossover with Garmin and Rivian would be strong... I would assume its just a market-share-related call? Fewer Garmin wearers than Apple maybe?

You can already lock and unlock and drive your car with your watch if you add it to your Apple wallet.

To be fair, the definition of "Adventure" is subjective. If this means the 4x4 crowd, its probably Apple, but in the world of active adventure, its Garmin all day. With that said, the Garmin ecosystem is not even close to the breadth or sophistication of Apple OS.
