What am I doing wrong, is there another tool that can help me???? I bought the A2Z Typhoon Pro adapter in Dec 2024. I didn't use it right away.. but then we started going on some road trips and it is super easy to charge at tesla chargers.. the first few times of using the adapter.. we had problems getting the adapter off the tesla charger (my husband was able to get it off).. I was told it was just stiff and would loosen up with time.
Well let me tell you it has not loosened up. I can't tell you the number of times I have set on the curb and just prayed that I could get it off.. Or ask some guy walking by if they could help me.. I probably have an 80% fail rate by myself of getting this thing off the tesla charger. I can't tell you the number of times I thought about just leaving it behind.. but the only problem is that I needed to use it again before I could get home.
Is there some trick for getting this thing unplugged?? I have tried the push in and pull out.. tried the push in and pull out/down... I have tried leaving it plugged into my truck and just removing the tesla charger. I have tried bracing it on the frunk edge to get more leverage.
My daughter drove my truck and she spent 30min at the Russell KS Sonic Tesla charging station, crying and trying to get the adapter off. She asked a couple of different guys and one was finally able to get it off. She now refuses to drive my truck if she is going to have to charge a tesla station (I am almost there with her, except tesla chargers are cheaper)
Every time I plug this thing into a tesla charger.. I'm afraid I wont be able to get if off..
I have written A2Z multiple times 5/11/26, 6/7/26 and i posted here on 10/6/25, all with the same issue.. of course A2Z says it is out of warranty (which it is) but I still need this thing to work and it never really has.
Thanks for any help.
