Could not find anything with the search function, sorry if this was discussed: in Quebec, we have accommodation sales, where the dealership can sell your car to a third party. https://www.revenuquebec.ca/en/busi...inesses/accommodation-sales-of-road-vehicles/

Pretty much every dealership and brand except Tesla will do this for you.

If this exists in other provinces, did you have any luck getting Rivian to do one?

Got a very, very low offer for my trade in. Getting close to starting the process, wanted background before asking my guide. Thanks.

Dealerships will. Rivian won't do anything special right now. Trades are lowballed no leasing etc.

They won't even sell you parts.

Infancy maybe in a few more years.

How is that different from a trade in? Have you started Rivian’s steps to buy the car (I.e. financing, trade in etc)?

You set the sale price, and thats a huge difference: Rivian’s offer is 20% under low market. Not even a low ball, not serious.

Guide just asked me for trade in, steps not opened in system yet.

Maybe, but its a win for sales: gets a bigger tax break for customers=sales and higher specked ones. Theres no downside for dealer, rules are clear they are not liable for used car nor to provide warranty. Only loosing party is the wholesaler offering peanuts.

Interesting, I don’t think it’s something that exists on the other side of the border. I remember Rivian’s trade in value was low when I got mine. Ended up selling to a dealership. Got luck! Hope they open the steps soon! It may be if they asked you for trade in.
