Adventure Awaits - R1S Dual Max Ordered!

I'm so excited! I preordered an R1S back in 2019, but when I really needed a family SUV in 2023, it still wasn’t ready to configure, so I ended up getting a 2023 Model X instead. Even though I don’t necessarily need another family SUV, when Rivian released the Gen 2 R1 in June, I knew I had to add another “adventure vehicle” to my lineup.

I wasn’t aware that some Gen 2 vehicles still come with a free stealth PPF wrap until someone on the forum mentioned it. I immediately started searching and found two Dual Max vehicles with stealth PPF and the all-terrain package—one in LA Silver and the other in El Cap Granite. While I originally wanted a Midnight with the dark-out package and dark wheels, the free PPF was too tempting to pass up. The LA Silver one also comes with premium audio, which is important to me, so I used a friend’s referral code and ordered it right away. I received a confirmation a few hours later—my car will be ready for pickup on 9/29!

I’m beyond excited and decided to create a blog to document this journey, so when my kid grows up, we’ll have plenty of memories to look back on. I’m now shopping for camping essentials like a sleep mat, storage solutions, and more. Any recommendations? I’ve also watched a lot of YouTube videos but still haven’t decided which phone mount works best—I’m looking for something clean and magnetic.

I was looking for one with PPF + Max + premium audio and/or dynamic roof.. the Shop didn't have any vehicle matching these criteria last week. I was afraid to lose my pre-order voucher, so pulled trigger and ordered one with PPF + Max but w/o premium audio and dynamic roof... Expected delivery on 9/13..

Congrats too! The dynamic roof is so cool but I think I will eventually install a roof rack system so I decided not to add that.

the guide told me that its unlikely to find one in the shop to have PPF + premium audio + dynamic roof... that's another reason I didn't wait any longer.. happy for you that you got one with PPF + premium audio..

I'll check it out. I'm not sure if I wanna cook near where I sleep and while having the trunk open, but if you guys have a modular sleep platform + storage system then I'll be very interested!
