Hi, I just got my Rivian R1T (used w/ an older 2022 software). I'm running into issue with the displays. I was sitting at a fast charger for >30 minutes and then the displays all turned off. I was still able to drive but nothing would show on the displays (center, driver, or even back row). I tried the infotainment reset and full reset but the screens wouldn't turn on. I even tried stepping out of the car, locking it, and going back in but it wouldn't work. I had to do the sleep reset (>30 min locked car) for the display to turn on.

It happened just now again after I was sitting in the car for >30 minutes with the car parked. Is this normal? How do I get the display to turn back on without doing the sleep reset again (waiting for 30 minutes while out of the vehicle is not convenient if I'm not home).

This is not normal. Make sure you have the newest software, this may be tied to a 12v issue largely corrected by newer software. Otherwise, this may be a hardware failure waiting to happen, specifically the AXM (ask me how I know... ?).

We had this happen to us after 1 day. We did all the resets and the only thing that got the screens on was waiting 30 minutes. In the following week or so, it was happening almost every day.
We took it into the Denver SC and they had it for about 3-4 days and they discovered the cause: all the screens are cooled and we had air bubbles in the system which caused the cooling system to not work properly. Since they weren’t being cooled, the screens were overheating and then shutting down. They bled the system, put in new coolant and no issues since (this was back in October).
Hope this helps…

From the factory, mine was low on cooling fluid also, but didn't loose my screens. Towed yo Chicago service center and the service director said that the truck needed 738g of fluid and only had 708g when they drained and rinsed it. Runs fine now as does the truck.

It's a controller that, in part, handles the internal screens. I don't have a ton of information about exactly what it does, just some of the symptoms you may see when it dies. Unfortunately, this is a manufacturer-controlled part (at least it was when mine failed). This means that the part is controlled at the factory and is only released with corporate approval. Additionally, each AXM is uniquely tied to a specific VIN and required specialized programing when it was replaced at the Service Center.
