Are you guys interested in starting to compile a list of available tires for the 21" and 22" wheels? At the moment, I've only found the one "factory" tire for the 21" wheel, and a couple of options for the 22". I saw one winter tire and looks like about 4 options for the 22" wheels.

The load rating for tires for the Rivian really need to be at least 115. There are a lot of tires in the 22" size that are 111, which isn't enough.

Yep exactly...that's why I was hoping to start a compiled (short list) of tires.

This may be a viable option. Slightly larger than stock 22” tire.

Nitto Terra Grappler G2 has a
LT285/50R22 E 121/118R
Tech Specs
  • Stock Number: 215370
  • Tread Depth: 15.6
  • Inflated Dimensions - Overall Dia (in): 33.27
  • Inflated Dimensions - Overall Width (in): 11.69
  • Approved Rim: 8.5-(9.0)-10.0
  • Maximum Load (lbs.) @ Press. (PSI): 3195 @ 80
  • Weight: 57.66
I have run Nitto Ridge Grappler tires on a Jeep Wrangler and loved them.

It's great to see a list of everything in one place, but this includes tires with insufficient load ratings.

It's not helpful to anyone to present those as viable options ?

Nice! Do these have the proper load range?

That’s a good question. I am no tire expert, but my stock tires have a maximum load of 2679 lbs and the Nitto tires have a maximum load of 3195 lbs, so I would think they would be safe to use, but I’ll defer to the tire experts on the forum.

How important is speed rating as well. I mean I'm not drag racing R1S, but is it important? I saw a few with like 102 speed ratings, so I'm assuming those are find unless your going over 102 a lot?

It doesn't take long to get going that fast in the Rivian, but if you and the people that drive your truck don't drive like I do, it's probably "okay" to have a lower speed rating tire than what the limiter is set to.

It's Seattle. There is nowhere to drive that fast here because people always drive slow. :CWL:

Seriously though, does that mean you'd want tires rated for 110 or higher (limit if I remember right).
