Glad it was spun out; I wish them luck, they will need it. The Tuk-Tuk and cargo bike may take off in big metro’s for last mile delivery. The bike has impressive sounding range specs but the suspension scares the hell outta me for long term sustainability. The bike industry may be even tougher than the automotive one.

I don't see anything convincing enough here for me to want to replace any of my existing bikes. But I guess I'm probably not their expected market.

Sure, but only if you promise to shout 'faster faster' to keep me motivated when I start to slow down.
Deal! I also promise to wear long pants to make it slightly less awkward.

My takeaways from this video:
- Still ugly
- Lots of cool and novel ideas integrated into it
- Too expensive
- I hope they're successful

Very interesting. I can see how those used to conventional e-Bikes would find the form factor unappealing. But, ALSO, it's a re-think of what a e-Bike could be... instead of just replacing the bottom bracket & crank with an electric motor. And quite smart to make the drive unit an integral part of the structure. So, given that, the appearance is not as strange. $4500 is right about the same mark as a well-spec'ed entry level e-MTB from all of established brands. So I don't think it's overpriced for what you'd get. Will I get one? Nope, because I have an eye on the economy and what is happening to the job market. Some other day perhaps.

And there's a helmet: https://ridealso.com/products/helmet

There will be a quad too: https://ridealso.com/products/quad

Same here, I find nothing appealing about this, maybe just not the target market but is there really a market maybe for doordashers or couriers.

Watch the video? It's a modular system. It can be configured for the MTB'er, the mom/dad dropping off the toddler at school or the neighborhood delivery person. Press a button on screen, pop-off seat/seat post module and pop-on another—normal single saddle, saddle + child seat, or single saddle with cargo rack. And, yah, if you got thousands into e-Bikes already, there's nothing here that make them obsolete.
