I went camping the other night and shut off all the passive systems I could find - gear guard, paak, etc - and I noticed that occasionally the rear lights would blip very quickly and the vehicle would emit a very quiet low 1/2 second beep.

Anyone know if this is related to a specific passive routine or what is doing? It went on all night long.

Mine does this all night long in my garage. All sorts of noises it makes.

Same. I do hope they resolve this. It's not super critical when it's in my garage and connected to the wall EVSE... But I don't like the idea of it doing this when parked outside.

Sorry to resurrect this thread. Was trying to find an explanation for the sound my R1S makes occasionally. Exactly this. Lights flash and it makes a beep sound.

Anyone ever figure it out?

It’s likely caused by the vehicle detecting your phone/key and then going back to sleep. The rear lights flash momentarily when your key is detected as approaching and the tone that it makes usually happens after it starts going to sleep soon after locking.

For example, my R1T emits a tone a minute or two after I get out and go inside my house. Since my garage is adjacent to my kitchen I have also heard it make the tone after I’ve gotten close enough in my kitchen for it to detect my phone but not close enough to unlock.

Ahh - that would make sense. Thanks. I have also heard it shortly after driving/parking/locking too. Odd for it to make a sound when going to sleep ?‍♂

Nope. I have disabled PaaK and this still happens for me when no kind of key is nearby.

My R1T does make a sort of quiet 'honk' to itself as it seems to go to sleep, funny sound.
When camping, be sure to disable proximity locking, you don't want the computers staying awake paying attention to what's around it and keys/phones that may be on the edge of detection range.
