Blendmount

Hello all. I am a new R1S ('24) owner having just went through the process of hardwiring my Escort Redline 360. The key takeaway that I would like to share is that Blendmount does make a bracket that will work. on a Rivian. I had a bracket from a 2019 BMW X7 that I opened all the way up and it slid over the rearview mirror stem with no issues.

But how does it handle that the stem is tapered? It makes the mirror nearly completely immobile after that too.

I barely had to adjust the mirror for my seat position so I can assume that it may be prohibitive for some drivers, but for me it works perfectly.

That reminds me to sell my old Blendmount and maybe try this one. I'm currently on a suction cup with M1 dash cam and Escort 360

I feel like I don't speed as much on the R1T compared to my previous e92, doesn't feel as fun or I'm trying to conserve range, ha. (Hardly ever over 75/65.)

What I'd like to see is an R1X with an ALP/Max CI 360 setup or similar with display integrated into the RVM. Also a good dashcam to mount near RVM

what Blendmount model is this? I have the BR7-2014 that I used on a Lucid for my Uniden R8, I'm going to give that one a go.

Upon reading this thread, I tried the Blendmount BR7-2036 (for Uniden R7/R8) and didn't care for the fitment- the tapered nature of the rearview mirror stem kept pushing the Blendmount clamp forward, pushing the rearview mirror up and out of my line of sight.

I ended up returning the Blendmount, removed the windshield cover, and drilled a permanent mount into the mirror cover.

Before others waste $ buying one… Blendmounts will not work for everyone. Period. The clamp is too thick and will not allow enough room for mirror to rotate enough, if your seating position requires it.
