I nearly pulled the trigger on an iX and getting rid of my R1T earlier this week. They're great looking cars and have all the things our trucks lack (except storage)
Except for the ugly pig nose that I don't care for but its not my car. I think she is going with the i4 which doesn't have the roof though I'm not entirely sure. She drove both and its her car so she can get what she wants.

I'm in a weirdly good place with my tonneau cover. I have an open ticket for it malfunctioning because the last slat was getting caught a few months ago so it would not fully open. However, by dumb luck, it will actually fully open, albeit with a loud clunk, about half the time.

So I have a mostly working cover (for now) and I'm guessing my service ticket, which was submitted with video of the malfunction, presumably has me on the list for replacement.

I can't find the post, but someone on Reddit wrote that employees with the redesigned tonneau were still having issues, but I'd take that post with a grain of salt. Regardless, now that it's officially Fall, it's pretty disappointing Rivian hasn't said anything - especially since some have had a non-working cover for over a year. That's ridiculous.

Got a loaner iX last week and it was a TOTAL disappointment. The "surfboard" seats were so hard with almost no lateral support. The passenger seat rattled over bumps that only went away when you braced your arm on it, the suspension squeaked and clunked over almost every road imperfection, the regenerative braking was so f#$cked-up coming to a stop, the frunk (oh wait, no frunk!), the trunk wasn't even full width, ride quality was weird and it felt sprung like a 3/4 truck. This loaner only had 2,800 miles on it and the fact that this $110k+ vehicle was being used as a loaner tells you something about how these are selling I think. Oh man...those seats really sucked. Given all the decent reviews on the thing, I was shocked...was expecting something much much better.

It'd possible that was me. I don't want to "out" anybody, but folks on RRAutoX forums claiming to be Rivian engineers are the ones who have been expressing that none of the new covers are working.

I heard two guys at the Home Depot paint counter talking about how Hillary is the actual leader of the US and in charge of the global cabal. So I don't even believe things I hear these days with my own ears! (hope that doesn't get me in trouble). My tonneau bit-dust almost exactly into one year of ownership. I sure was nice having it last winter to store all my ice fishing gear all nice and dry. I hope those rumors aren't true!

yeah, obviously could be bullshit. But with the silence we're hearing loudly right now, it's hard not to believe it could be true.
