despite great marketing, services like carfax and autocheck only supply information that is reported to them. Reputable shops will report to them but unscrupulous folks will sometimes perform repairs off the books and in those cases you can sometimes get burned.
These services are a tool and one data source you can use to widdle down a vehicle search. They are not and will never be a substitute for a comprehensive PPI by a trusted and reputable tech.
For Rivian specifically, I recommend (like others have stated) you contact Rivian and inquire about the vehicle. Verify it will have warranty etc.
Find someone in your area knowledgeable on Rivian vehicles and get a PPI if your seriously considering purchase.
