This seems promising for my upcoming R2 purchase. Carve out on the price cap for CA based manufacturers like Rivian, and supposed to launch tomorrow. However when I called Rivian today the sales guy had no awareness of the program. Any other CA buyers looking into this?

I hope it becomes a thing and goes into effect soon. Ideally around the August or September time frame.

It just means that it's such a new development that a call center employee hasn't gotten an memo from above. Wait and see. If it's something the consumer files for, and the transaction date is after affective date, you should be able to file retroactively.

However... If Rivian chooses to not participate...
"It specifies that participating car manufacturers will foot half the bill for each incentive"

That’s what I’m hoping! Will check in again tomorrow.
