We’ve had good results with cell boosters on our other vehicles and want to install on in our R1S
The cell booster comes with a 12v power point plug in that can be switched on and off.
it appears there’s only one 12v power point in the R1S, on the left by the tailgate near the 120v outlet. This isn’t ideal as we would want to switch it off when not in use (it draws enough current to run down a 12v battery)
Has anyone installed a cell booster on their R1S, and if so, where did they get the power?
How do folks install other 12v powered equipment (like radar detectors, communication radios (HAM, GMRS, CB)) etc?
Is the rear 12v power outlet hot all the time or just when the vehicle is being driven?

Most of the time I don't want a cell booster unless I'm in a bad reception area. In which case, I plug it in.

Me too. But where I live, and travel, most of the time there is poor cell reception

It's on when the vehicle is awake. You can force wake when parked through the camping screen, but you have to turn it back on every drive cycle.

My R1T has a 12v outlet on the front dash below the main screen. Not there on yours I assume? There is also one in the gear tunnel but you have an S….

Look under the dash, in the center. My December 2022 R1T has a 12V outlet there.

No 12V under the dash or in the frunk of my R1S. 2023, VIN 83XX. I have a GMRS radio plugging in to my 12V in the rear cargo area. I leave it plugged in. It sleeps with the vehicle. I actually just found this thread while searching for GMRS - I'm hoping to find how some folks have hardwired accessories like this. I have the Valentine-1 radar detector hard wire per the detailed instructions on a thread on this site, tapping in to the power in the rear view mirror assembly.
