Technical..nope..
Pucker.. Yeap…
Views.. amazing!

On this trail, the pucker factor was high enough that some people refused to ride in the wagons through this section. They were called ‘chickens’.

I could see why trusting a horse might be tough. 400 foot drop..

Gladiator and Rivian..

I would 100% be one of the "chickens" getting out of the wagons!

I've flown a tiny Robinson R-22 helicopter at 10,000ft without doors and it didn't scare me, but trusting a horse who could easily get spooked to stay on track through those corners is something I wouldn't do o_O

Really hard to disagree with that one... I'm not certain I would want to do those corners if I wasn't the one on top of the wheel either.

It doesn’t look that bad from the video. Maybe it’s just the video though because I know there’s a lot of rock crawling stuff that looks easy on video but doing it I almost needed a change of pants

It's definitely not technical. There are 3ish spots where you get decently close to the edge on those corners. In reality, there's room. From the drivers seat... You question yourself :)

Something like cliffhanger would be impressive but still hitting some easy trails like fins is great. I watched the channel on yt and there's some other good stuff.

Yeah. We were thinking of heading up to TOTW, Hells Revenge, etc but we decided maybe to wait till he had some rocker protection. Next time for sure.

Hells would have been fine. It's not worse than Fins. Klondike Bluffs also fine. Top of the World would require very careful spotting and it's long. It's arguably worse than Elephant Hill. I'm spoiled with a locking dif even in my mild build and that allows going more carefully than without.

Yeah, I’ve done totw a couple of times before. I told my son it would do fine. Might have to stack a rock here and there…

Even the distance from Moab wouldnt be too bad.. However charging in Moab is poopy at best. Rivian has L2s at under canvas who were nice enough to let us use them despite being for guests only..

In fact, Under Canvas was amazing. Offered us coffee and s’mores.. did I mention we didn’t spend a dime with them? We might in the future though.

I agree on the charging. With all the tourists I'm surprised there's no DCFC. We rent a condo when we go and I'm not shy about temporarily adding breakers to a panel lol but I'm not even sure it's feasible to take the Rivian there from LA with how unreliable CCS is.

I know some people stayed at the many hotels with L2s so they would have a full charge when they wake up everyday. Our condo had a dryer off the garage but my son didn’t have that adapter. So we had 3 vehicles so we would just take it to under canvas when we weren’t wheeling and let it sit there.

The infra to get to Moab was fine. We’re from Denver so it was just a charge midway and a topoff charge in Grand Junction so he’d be pretty full when we got there.
