Does anyone know if the Coastal Cloud interior option is on time for August availability?

I am confident in that (waiting myself to order).

It's a goal not a promise. Rivian is right in the middle of ramping production and moving this feature forward in response to demand. It could go faster or slower than they anticipated, but they are trying to give you some idea of the timeline. You can't place an order before it's available, just like all the other trim options that aren't available yet.

The design for the R2 says the coastal cloud interior will be available August so I assume that means this August?

Anyone else intending to get the coastal cloud with their upcoming order? Do you think choosing this option will push back the order?

I received my invitation to order the R2 approximately three days ago. When I went in to configure and order I selected coastal cloud interior. The website indicated that the selection was not available and was placed on a waiting list. No surprise and happy to wait.

I assume "available" in August means that you would be able to place an order in August and then wait another 4-12 weeks before actual delivery? That's the range for configurations that are available to order today. So if your definition of "available" means that you can actually drive one home it could mean the end of November even if it's "available" in August.

Naturally It's possible that they will be able to reduce the time between order and delivery for all configurations before then.

Esker Silver is available to order today but has an 8-12 week timeline. So if you order Esker Silver today it would be the same as ordering Catalina Cove at the end of August. Makes you wonder why they don't just let you order Coastal Cloud today with a longer delivery estimate.
