Crack in HVAC box any experience?, expensive!

Anyone have a hvac box crack out there? I got a red warning saying bring to service asap. The shop took the car right away and we’re all nice as per usual. But apparently this box replacement is $4500, and sadly I’m at 70k miles so out of warranty. I know there was a drain plug problem in some Rivian’s, not sure if this could cause the hvac box failure or not.

They also found another 5000$ worth of work, struts and 12 volt battery.

Wasn’t hoping to drop 10k today….

How many struts did you have replaced and what ones? Also is this the first time you have had strut replacement?

First strut replacement, and it’s just the rears that are leaking. I have not noticed a decline in preforma ce. Mine feels just like the quad they loaned me with 12k miles.

When I found my front carpets soaked, rivian sc said the cause was the hvac box. Gave me a new one along with new carpets. Covered under warranty still.

reasons I won't keep this car out of warranty, I can afford it, I don't want to LOL.... I've had 1 strut replaced under warranty and they found evidence of a rodent in the ac filter, they said if the smell persists, replace lower ac system (I think box) b/c the pee may be in the plastic, I'm like....how much is that gonna cost if needed and now I know, $5k, no thanks lol, thankfully it doesn't smell
