I did a demo drive today and have a lease expiring next month and not a peep about getting priority. I hope it is true though.
Is your lease a Rivian or other? They are prioritizing Rivian leases.

Not a fan of prioritizing leasing as a reservation holder but certainly understand it as a stock holder. Those are buyers needing to make a purchase in a predetermined time frame. If they do not have R2 as an option Rivian could lose that sale for 2 to 4 years.

It is not a Rivian and that policy makes sense. Although I haven’t seen that in writing any where or wasn’t told that. I explicitly said I was leasing a Kia and at the demo he didn’t correct me to say it was Rivian only.

I actually expected the opposite. If it's a Rivian lease they have the power to extend it to help line up with delivery windows (and I saw one person comment that happened to them). Non-Rivian leases have a firm end date so Rivian would have to slot those people in with priority so they don't go elsewhere.

But on the flip side, rewarding loyalty for Rivian leases also makes sense. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Either way, as a non-Rivian, non-lease, day-1 reservation holder, I just hope my number is called soon. I want to get rid of my 14 y/o gas car before it requires any more maintenance.
