Big, heavy, fast, substaintial payload, substaintial towing, priced between 3/Y and S/X. Interior 3/Y quality but with a 17" screen. Stupid yoke steering wheel but with a round option at additional cost.

No one is purchasing the CT based on precise specs any more than the R1T buyer. "If the R1T only tows 10,000 pounds I'm not buying" was said by no one.
Don't disagree with any of those estimations. But I think it's a stretch to say we know 90% of it when we are still guessing at the big things people actually do want to know before buying, like size, price and range.

Man, even you are talking out of both sides of your mouth here on what the cybertruck is. Can't be wrong if I've said both things!
I consider a 250/2500 to be a heavy duty truck. 3/4 ton trucks ride pretty nicely empty. One ton truck don't. A one ton suspension is overkill for a 6.5' bed. I doubt Tesla is going after the masonry contractor market.

Go look up the payloads for those trucks.

"Met him in a meeting some years back"? So you do or don't KNOW him? Because that was the standard for my commentary in your last post. ?

Again, I could ask you the same thing about the accusations: Do you know them to be NOT true? Do you think these women enjoy being dragged by Musk fans when attempting to get justice for something they say really happened?

Allow me to be more clear: CT is Musk and Musk is CT. No CEO has ever created a more perfect embodiment of his own personality than Musk has with this truck. It is a geometric Musk fever dream of outrageous claims and overcompensation.
Agree that CT is Musk and Musk is CT.

And this is who Musk is: https://www.platformer.news/p/yes-elon-musk-created-a-special-system

So much vain, throwing tantrums he's not getting enough exposure on Twitter. Fuck this guy.

I don't know enough about heavy duty trucks and solid axles, but this article implies that current EV trucks with independent rear suspension are unable to handle the higher payloads compared to a solid axle design.

Are we confident that the Cybertruck has done some magical engineering to allow for goose neck trailers and heavy duty type loads? And if they make the claim are we confident that Tesla will adequately test the Cybertruck under these conditions? I don't see a bunch of Cybertruck mules in Arizona hauling goose neck trails up the Mogollon Rim.

Watch my words. I predict the Cybertruck will be a disruptor in the 1/2 ton pickup truck segment. The wedge shaped futuristic design will be copied by others.

The general public will warm up to the unorthodox design and will flock to the truck.

Tesla wants to sell millions of copies so the MSRP will be critical to its success.
That's not going to happen for one big reason - PRACTICALITY of the design as a work truck. My engineering company has 4 Super Duty 2500 pickups for our welding crews. There's simply no way the CT design will do what we need for hauling job materials and tools. Two to three million pickups a year are sold as bulk fleet sales, plus millions more as work trucks in small business. You think Conrail, US Government, or even a third of your local "Joe's 24 hour Plumbing Service" small businesses are going to buy the CT when Ford, GM and RAM have practical work truck designs?

Dude, 3/4 ton is a colloquialism. I'm looking at payload as realistically usable bed capacity.

I've owned trucks from half ton to medium duty.

I was very clear in the first statement. I do not know him as originally stated.

As for knowing not to be true, we do live in innocent until proven guilty society.

I predict the CT will be wildly popular with folks who like absolutely hideous vehicles.
Only person I know that loves the Aztek said they would buy the Cybertruck if they could afford it. At the original pricing they can't.

That's... not how payload capacity works. Of course if you've owned medium duty trucks, you knew that?

It matters to almost no one that it has a 3500lb payload. I hope it doesn't. It will tow a crapton like all EV trucks.
June 2025 when the first CT Owners actually take delivery:
Buyer: "I'm so disappointed in the ride quality of my CT. I waited 4 years!!! I paid $80k for it!!! That's luxury price, dammit!!!! My BMW 8 Series ride is so much better!!!"

Real Truck Owner: "But it has a 3500 lb payload rating? What did you expect?"

Buyer: "Dammit!!!! I paid $80,000 for a luxury vehicle. This ride sucks!!!"

You KNOW this will happen. It happens on Rivian forums every week.

One can just as easily infer that paying a settlement is not the same as proving innocence and if he were innocent he could have made her go to court to prove her claims.

A regular person does not have a reasonable chance of having their accusation fairly heard when their opponent is the world's wealthiest baby who also happens to own Twitter.

Musk didn't create the cybertruck. He approved it.

But its harder to disparage Franz von Holzhausen

Franz is now a very wealthy man thanks to Tesla. Leaving Mazda was a smart move.
