I had mine repaired at a local PDR guy, actually came back better because he aligned the hood ? I had damage on the hood, front PS fender, roof line and around the bed. Came back perfect.

Just something that happens in central Texas.
Who and where was it repaired??,

Where was the hail storm ? My Rivian was in Wimberley TX. Central Texas, I am presently out of country and have only seen photos of our hail damage
The service center is in Franklin, TN. I was watching the weather live when they showed what looked like hail on the radar. I was hoping for the best but was not to be.

You should refuse to allow them to fix it.

Those golf-ball dimples will IMPROVE your aero!!

SCIENCE!!

Just report back when you're averaging 4.0 mi/kWh so we can all ...park outside in hail storms!! :D

I was all set to take delivery on my new Limestone Quad tomorrow afternoon at 1:00. All of my task were completed and was very excited. Then late this afternoon I receive an email that my delivery had been canceled. I quickly texted my guide, but then before she could respond I noticed a VM on my cell phone from the local service center. My R1S along with a few others were hail damaged from the thunderstorms that passed through this past Sunday.

They have a paintless dent repair vendor coming by tomorrow to take a look but not sure when the vehicles will be ready to deliver. My concern and hoping to get some feedback here, is will there be any issues that may come up with the paint later down the line due to the repair? I'm going to swing by there tomorrow and take a look myself. Very excited to take delivery but don't want to deal with lingering issues later.
I live in southern Colorado (took delivery of my R1T in Denver last week) and we get a lot of hail. We have had many cars repaired in the last 10 years via PDR. No issues to date. If they have reputable company do the repairs you will never know the dents were there. The one we had repaired last year ($11,000 worth, over 300 dents and all trim on a Hyundai Sonata hybrid) looks good as new. My only fear with the Rivian is it has a lot of aluminum panels. I went around with a magnet on my R1T and all panels are aluminum except the rear quarters and the top. Aluminum is hard to push back to its original shape if the dents are too deep.

I went by the service center at lunch to check out the damage and I couldn't even see the dents. Someone had to come out and show me where they are. Looks like 2 on the hood and one on the passenger side rear quarter panel. After checking it out I'm pretty confident that it will be perfect when the PDR guy is done. May even be able to take delivery on Saturday!

Overall feeling much better about it than I did late yesterday afternoon. Thanks for all of the responses!
