I have a 2022 R1T quad motor with about 22,000 miles.

I just noticed today when I am slowing down with regen and start making left or right turn I hear this rhythmic knocking sound. it only is there when I am turning with as regen is slowing me. regular acceleration or turning I don't hear it. sound goes away if i get back on the gas as I am turning.

Could this be something serious? why I didn't call and schedule a service, at this point I am so tired of pointing out issues and hearing back from half the time it is normal.

if you have experience with something like this, please let me know what you think it is.

There's loads of threads about this on this forum. Do a search for "halfshaft" on the forum and you'll get more info than you can conveniently handle! The punchline: make an appointment with your service center. If you're still under warranty, they'll replace the halfshafts pretty much without hearing more than the word "clunk." That's what they did with mine.

scheduled a service appt for next week somehow. now come to think of it it was also making the same sound when making turns with steering wheel turned all the way on Monday night...

If it only happens on Mondays, then it's probably something else 😉

As said above: likely halfshafts.

If the half shafts, it should present when you are at low speed and are changing torque. When mine wore out, and I needed a video for the service team, I slowly rolled it back and forth and did some slow turns in a parking lot, and it was very evident. It sounds like the ticking of an old radiator heating up, if you know what that sounds like. I also noticed them when doing slow, high-wheel-angle turns. Many threads on this, reportedly more of an annoyance than a pull-over-and-stop-driving kind of issue.

I noticed it doesn't effect the way car drives. but I tend to make most of my turns as regen is slowing me down and this is how I noticed it. at first I thought maybe the new michelin defender tires were rubbing but tires are same size as the original OEM tires. they did give me a quick appt for a service center that is about 2.5 hours away. I will go in and get it checked out. it is a new sound for sure. didn't have it before.
