I cant find the reference right now but I do remember seeing on other EV forums mention Credit Unions that gave lower APRs for "green cars".

Anyone have any insight or used one?

DCU does a 0.25% rate discount for energy-efficient vehicles.

I have 1.9% secured from my local CU (TVFCU). The only hiccup has been they require the lender address be listed in the purchase agreement in addition to their name, the auto generated Purchase Agreement only lists the name. I am currently waiting on my guide to respond (silence all afternoon) and help me get the lender requirements met on the PA. Otherwise I would only be waiting on the 8th step!

Although I have not signed any paperwork with Rivian, I have a rate locked in for 2.49 (as of today) thru my Credit Union. This was at 1.84 yesterday when I was shopping around :swear:

I found other rates, and a few of them were slightly better, but the requirements were higher.

I do have a loan thru LightStream, which is a unique lender. They offer a personal loan to you, and you own the vehicle outright. But it does come with a slightly higher interest rate. But you own the car free and clear, No Lien.

Edit: And my credit union does not offer any rate discount for a green vehicle I just found out.

Yea my rate includes a .15 discount for green vehicles. Anything better than 38 mpg highway qualifies. It was 1.99 otherwise.
