Hey guys, apologies if this has been addressed before, I could not find a thread about it. Still getting to know the truck (delivered 4 days ago now). When the door handles close as I put it in gear, then all seem uniform in being fairly quiet, but one makes a pretty loud bang when it closes. To me ears its the rear passenger door.
Never paying attention in the first mile, and not being in another Rivian, I am not sure if its normal. They function fine; seeing if there maybe is an adjustment needed, or if what I have is normal and they are all making noise but one is just a little louder.

Also, while I'm here, what is up with the tailgate lip trim (top piece of plastic)? It's so soft I feel like I could write my name in it with my fingernail, and in the sun it almost feels sticky to the touch. Assuming that is not going to wear well.

Thanks again, John

Sounds like your handle might be getting caught as it closes. Should be easy enough to watch from the outside of the vehicle.

The tailgate top has gone through at least two iterations. Original ones scratched up pretty easy and aren't soft-touch at the top. I believe that's supposed to help keep loads against it in place. Mine's not soft touch and is quite scratched from things sliding against it. It's a truck though, so *shrug*.

Good call, I'll take a look from the outside.

Checked from the outside, the rear door handle is catching on the door. The handle is too far forward (pivot side) and binds when the handle opens, so it's slower than the rest to open. Then it pops harder shut again hitting the door a bit. Sucks because now looking at it, I can see it's starting to rub the paint off the edge of the handle.
