Of all of the amazing capabilities that the Rivians will have, stellar NVH performance will make me happier than most others. I hope they utilize acoustic glass for these things. I also want to know how good of a job Pirelli did on keeping the noise down with their All-Terrain tires. I'd love to know what the testing shows before deciding on wheels and tires.

Their on-road prowess/manners and off-road skills will be fantastic, but for everyday around town and highway driving, I love a quiet vehicle with a quiet cabin. That is, until I crank up that amazing stereo!

I agree Ducktruck the laminated glass would be a desirable feature. I'm imagining it would also help insulate the cabin decreasing HVAC usage and increasing range. My 2019 Subaru has them so I will be disappointed if its not included in the Rivian.

Replying to an old post here—I've been thinking about this too. When I upgraded my car's setup, I was blown away by how much it improved the ride quality and overall comfort. I used some NVH isolators from Mantaline, and the difference was huge. If the R1s can match or even get close to the comfort and quietness of an Audi e-tron, it would be a win. From what I've experienced, good NVH control really makes a difference in driving satisfaction. I hope they've nailed this aspect because it's so important for a smooth, comfortable ride.
