Exterior Charging Progress Light

This is the reply I got from Rivian.
I think it is over kill and unnecessary expense to put that kind of charging lights on. It is pretty gimmicky. Is all it really needs is a small light on the dash and save the money on the gimmicks.

As you mentioned, the front and rear light bars do illuminate indicating that the vehicle is charging with a green light when the vehicle is unlocked. However, when the vehicle is locked, both lights turn off, and the only light that stays on is the charge port light, which remains on to indicate whether the vehicle is successfully charging.

I understand that having a dark campsite is important to you, and that you would like to see us include a feature that turns all indicator lights off. I will be sure to pass your feedback along. Do we know at this point if we can disable the super bright lights that indicate charging status, if so desired? I'm just imagining having my Rivian in the driveway (no room in the garage) with the lights on all night, and how much unwanted attention that would get.

Oh man. My neighbors will love the bright light shining across the street into their bedroom window. And, quite a beacon to late night prowlers. Gear Guard will be on, for sure.

Any chance you can turn back on the progress meter in the settings? Disappointed that they removed that status bar.

From the videos I've seen, the charger port light is also bright and obnoxious (although nowhere near as obnoxious as the light bar). Is there a way to turn this off as well? I'd really prefer less attention on my parked vehicle.

Many of the tech on this beautiful Smart vehicle is gimmicky. First World problems.... what's next changing the CHIRP alarm sound to a grawl from MUFASA???

I just wonder why you would come in with a couple of one liners, or zingers if you prefer, suggesting that I need new neighbors, or someone should just "cover with beach towel". They're not helpful to progressing the conversation in any meaningful way.

Relax man, you're taking this too seriously. Rivian knows your concerns, if it matters enough to them, they'll do something about it. If not, they'll focus on something else to fix and move on. All good.
