First R1S ascent of Engineer Pass, Colorado? (Elevation 12,800 ft)

Planning to do something similar on the way back from Moab next month. Hoping Ophir is open by then or at least Imogene so I can stay overnight in Ouray before taking Cinnamon over to Lake City. Aside, highest ride height is kinda meant like an extract sort of mode or if actually on a rocky obstacle. I'd venture you could do most of the trail in high so the ride quality and droop travel would be better.

I tried All Purpose and the High setting (max 45 mph), but kept switching back to Off Road (max 20mph, which I rarely exceeded) so I could get the Highest setting and the smoother ride.

I'll second @zefram47. I do most of my off roading in off road high and keep highest for when I need to climb over specific obstacles where the extra ride height is needed.

I worry about damaging suspension components with it all stretched out in highest, maybe unfounded but having suspension issues on the trail is no fun and yes I know from experience.

Very cool trip report. I'd love to get out to the mountain west for some more overlanding/off roading now that I have a lot more experience in my Rivian and a better setup.
