One of my front parking sensors was hit by a tiny stone while driving on the highway. As a result, my front parking sensor away no longer works. Has anyone replaced one of these sensors before? If so, where can I get one Is there any documentation on how to do it? I was going to go to the dealer, but the closest dealer is in Chelsea mass and I am nowhere near there.

I had one pop inward after being hit by road debris. This resulted in a 3mm crack in the black plastic surrounding it. After a two month wait for an appointment in San Diego, Rivian swapped it out.

Total cost was $750. The parts were about $300 and the rest was labor. They told me that they had to take the whole front fascia off as one huge purse. This included tuwbfirst level of painted areas. If it was just the sensor they can stop there. But since they needed to replace that surround they had to undo several layers of parts to replace it.

Which front one? Take a pic from a little ways back so I can tell, and I'll send you instructions.

You can pick up used sensors on eBay for as little as $35.

Thank you for the detailed response. So it sounds like there isn’t an easy fix for this given the assembly. I wonder if it can be accessed from the underside?

Thank you again!

Thank you! Image attached. It’s one near the driver side tow hook.

So #3 for you, PT00013778 . eBay has a ton new or used in a range of prices.

Your pictures look like a Gen 1 so I'll DM those instructions. Easy part is replacing it, hard part is pulling off the front fascia. You have to loosen or remove the front of the wheel liner for that as well.

I'm hesitant to post instructions publicly, but if anyone else wants them, reply to this post or DM me 👍🏼

I started having false positives on my front right inboard sensor last year. It was very intermittent and seemed to go away until a couple of months ago when it came back to life. It now alerts nearly every time I slow down to under ~3mph - but only when the temp is over about 90F (hence why I never got the warning during the winter). Remote service came out to look at it, but said that the whole bumper would have to come off to replace it and that the SC would be better equipped to do that. I got an appointment, but not until September so I have another 6 weeks of this thing ringing at me constantly whenever it's warm out. I'm not aware of ever hitting anything that could have damaged it, but it always could have been a stone or something.

Riviot, If you could, please DM me the instructions. I may give it a shot on my own.

Just got hit by a small animal in the dark last weekend and am wondering if the instructions to access the sensors to be placed back can be shared. Thanks
