New forum member and R1S owner here :)

Today I noticed under the (hydraulic?) left cylinder of the frunk that a little orange/brownish cap was loose and rolling around. Based on what I could see under the right side cylinder, this cap needed to be put back on a black (electrical insulation?) hose that has a small branch/appendage(/valve?) -- see picture with the red circle after I placed the cap back on it.
However, the positioning of this hose appendage/cap is different from the one on the right side (see pic with yellow arrow). On the right side, it kind of tucks underneath and is not in the way of the closing frunk cylinder ... but on the left, when closing the frunk the cylinder definitely pushes down on this cap/hose.

It's probably nothing, but wondering if anyone has noticed this too and has any thoughts on it needing attention?!

This cap appeared today on my R1S gen2 as well, sitting loose by the hinge like yours. I was late so I didn't have time to figure out where it goes, so thanks for the photo!

Did it stay on after you put it back on there?

I have a 2024 Gen1 that looks similar. A tee with a brown-orange cap, just inboard and rearward of each strut. My drivers side is less inboard / closer to the strut but not as much as yours looks. Tracing back a couple inches, it just looks like electrical wires so shouldn't be an issue, I'd think. But it is curious why it's in an accordian tube with a tee. My caps are quite snug, I don't dare try to pull them off!

Anyways, just try pushing it inboard or reroute it a bit. maybe some debris is in the way? Pull up the cowl for better access. It's just clips, you can pull them up with a little force, except the last one at the A pillar is easy to break, leave it in.

Welcome! I hope you enjoy your new R1S! Feel free to say hi in Introductions & Welcome Thread
