Hi All,

I’m looking at purchasing these soon but my problems are two fold. 1) I don’t have a breaker bar or torque wrench. 2) I also don’t have a garage with enough space to do the work. I’m curious who in the PNW(Portland metro specifically) has these sliders and has installed themselves and might be willing to help me with mine or has had a shop in the area install them.

TIA

You don't need a breaker bar. In fact, a impact driver will make quick work out of loosening the factory bolts—like using any power tool, you just have to exercise good judgement and make sure your TP55 bit (NOT T55) is positively seated before you apply power, and not to apply too much power.

Cordless impact drivers can be rented. You can also buy one and a torque wrench, without spending a fortune, at Harbor Freight. Quality is decent. And both tools are good to have regardless. Like if you ever need to change a flat or damaged tire.

Borrow a friend's garage or driveway? That's what I did. And with extra pair of hands and eyes, the install is easy. There are several videos on YouTube, including Goat's own, that are very helpful. The recommendation I would add to those is to use a power tool (Dremel or oscillating multi-tool) to cut windows into factory plastic cladding (if you choose to re-install them), instead of a utility knife. It will save time and your hands.
