I just took my R1S in for the Gen 2 recall repairs to the new Sunnyvale service center.

Evidently it's been open about a month and I was able to get in quickly. I was surprised to see it as an option when I was scheduling the appointment. I scheduled it about two weeks ago for my convenience but could have been seen much quicker.

For the two light recalls and a proactive 12V replacement (which they added on without me asking for), I did a drop off this morning and supposedly will get it back this afternoon. In the meantime I got an Uber voucher for getting around and drop off was smooth and quick.

So far, so good. I'm also pleased at a closer option as than either the SSF or San Jose centers as this one is about 12 minutes away from my house where as San Jose is more like 20 and SSF like 35.

That is good to hear. I am in the East Bay and had a similarly good experience at the Martinez Service Center. Was scheduled promptly and work was completed the same day. They worked with the local Enterprise Rent-A-Car to provide me with a Tesla Model 3 as a loaner.

I work just a few blocks from the proposed Emeryville Service Center location, so I will be thrilled when that opens.
