GPS nav glitch?

Just returned from a trip to Vancouver Island. Took the ferry. In both directions the nav got lost. While in the ferry it lost connection. When exiting the ferry it thought that I was still at the loading dock On the other side. It took 15 minutes of driving each way to get found. If I had not known where to go, I would have been lost too. Never happened with the GPS in any other vehicle or with apple car play. For 15 minutes after disembarking it had me flying over the water on the other side.

I have been putting it is Shipping mode when on the ferry which works well but it still takes a few minutes for the Nav to catch up. Our Tesla does the same

Had his identical experience last weekend after a getaway to Whidby Island. Super annoying.

I take the wsf at least four times a week. If i had known about this bug, i might have delayed purchase until it was fixed.

Based on the number of rivians I've seen driving around bainbridge, I'm surprised nobody has raised enough of a stink about this to get noticed.

Contrary to the experience of an earlier poster, my tesla didnt have this problem a single time in over 1200 trips, nor did my volvo or even my honda (as horribly unusable as the Honda everything is) so i am very disappointed. Worst case they'd start off dead reckoning and then figure out where they were within 30s of sky view.

Must be fixed.

I have the same issue on the Bainbridge/Seattle ferry.

Thankfully I know my way to the airport because my NAV said I was in the Puget Sound as I parked in the garage.

My Ford F-150 NAV did a better job with the ferries, and adaptive cruise control, TBH.

Kingston/Edmonds ferry consistently has the same problem.

Also, putting in colman dock as destination navs all the way around through the bremerton ferry and back even when you are a block away in Seattle.

most recent update quietly fixed this problem.. the vehicle figure out where it is within a few hundred feet of exiting the ferry now.
