Oof those edges look sharp. Inevitably people are going to be grabbing this thing by the sides while extending it. Should think about rounding those edges off

That will add labor time, routing each cut on a router. Probably more cost effective to use or adapt an off-the-shelf trim. Or for those wanting to DIY, you can always braid one of the cutouts with paracord. This way, you have paracord for emergency needs too.

Just wanna say I installed the Interrobang gear tunnel slide into my Gen 2 Quad just a couple days ago.

It’s awesome! Not too heavy but still robust. Easy installation. Slides easily and out a very usable amount on both sides. Locks easily. It’s what I thought I’d get from Rivian’s OEM gear tunnel slide that was never released.

My 2 cents:

Keep it simple. Just call it the Gear Tunnel Slide Surround (or just the Slide Surround). If some extra dividers could be easily added and removed for customization it would be the chef’s kiss.

Keep up the great work!

Tunnel Tray Back Board

Tunnel Tray Side Hustle

Tunnel Tray Brace Back

If you replace the sold back with a series of braced horizontal rods, you could gain the versatility of securing straps, belts, rope, and create a handy drying rack, etc. and call it the Tunnel Tray Ram Rods, or Tunnel tray Back Rack, or Tunnel Tray Rod Rack. Having rods would also open up further options such as removable plastic bins, baskets and buckets that can hook onto the rods as additional SKUs you could sell.

I’d call it, “Hell Yeah!” because it just makes the tray more awesome. Tray-B got back! You can get more junk in your trunk with Interrobang’s new Back Slide.
What ya gonna do with all that junk? All that junk inside your trunk?

Suggestion… all panels should have the oblong cutouts, and the sides could have more. This will not only reduce shipping weight but also allow users to strap things to them (like with MODL's straps; jack handles, shovel, bottle jack, tool rolls, fishing rods…).
I actually did that originally, but I'm worried about straps or whatever dangling off the back and getting caught when you push it back into the tunnel. Adding L track to the top rail to clip things in turned out more useful and less of a headache for me.
