I just picked my R1S this past Saturday. I am 6'3" and my wife is 5'3". I am listed as the owner and my wife is the driver in our Rivian profiles. We enabled the auto easy exit function when we leave and kneel mode for her. Neither seem to be working consistently.

We continue to run into issues after my wife drives the seat will remain at her drivers position in the garage even when I come up to the car. The car will recognize me as the driver but the seat adjustments do not change. I have to manually move the seat back, then put it on my wife's profile which will start to move the seat and then change it back to my profile before my knees get crushed.

We ran into this very issue when we took delivery with the Rivian Guide and she looked perplexed why it was behaving that way but thought it was an aberation or something.

My only guess is if we put in Park and then immediately open the door does it stop the kneel and auto seat adjustment immediately? But why doesn't the car adjust the seat automatically when it senses I am the driver?

Is this a service ticket issue or is there something I am missing.

None of that sounds like it's operating as intended. I would make sure to do the following (make sure to do these for both profiles)
1. Delete easy entry exit position.
2. Calibrate the seat
3. Calibrate the steering wheel
4. Check to make sure the right keys are assigned to the right profile.
5. Set easy exit entry position
6. Test ensuring only 1 key is near (remember the fob is also an active key)

Maybe an infotainment or full vehicle reset as well.

Did you get this resolved? I am having a similar issue with the seat moving every time I lock the door. Mobile service was not able to help the situation. Hoping you found a resolution.

I had the issue where sometimes the roomy entry and exit just wouldn't put the seat position back into my saved one after it was parked for a while. Annoying because i would have to then put the car back into park, get out, lock the car, unlock the car, get back in and hope it worked the 2nd or third time.

I ended up having a weird 'motor fault' on the highway the other day (that thankfully has not returned) but i had to hard reset the vehicle to get it back on the road. since then, i've noticed the roomy entry and exit has worked correctly 100% of the time. Maybe worth a shot.

I have this same problem as well. I’d say 25-30% of the time, when I get in the vehicle, the seat does not revert to my saved position. I usually get out, close the door, and get back in. This fixes it 95% of the time, but elevates my annoyance level by 300%. Especially when I’m with others and they’re all, “wtf are you doing?”

I ambasically the only driver for the vehicle. My wife has driven it once in the last 5 months and does have her phone programmed in as a key, but only as of the last month or so, and the problem has existed since pick-up/purchase.

A mobile SC tech reset the settings and calibrated the seat. Didn’t help at all.

Mine is finally working much better and gets it right 90% of the time. It’s weird it’s not 100% but I remind myself I’m driving a computer.
What helped for me is a full hard reset of the car and then redid the seats.

I also learned the easy exit feature is set up for each driver so it worked for me but not for my 5’2” wife which is what I really needed it for. once we enabled it on her profile it works. With her seat set for her I literally cannot get my knees in the car. For most cars the seat position 1 and 2 is on the drivers door for situations exactly like mine.

Now if I can get the PAAK to work consistently that would be amazing. Sometimes it works perfectly and other times I have to take my phone out of my pocket and fire up the Home Screen to unlock the car.

For me it remembers when
1. You are put your foot on the brake and the car is in hold or park
2. While moving, seats mirrors etc no matter what

I think it’s a safety feature?

don’t know if others can change preferences while driving…
