I periodically make a trip of about 125 miles each way and there is a convenient RAN charger in a diner's parking lot about halfway, so I usually stop there to "top off" my battery. On my way back, however it's very inconvenient to stop there, even though I'm told to do so. As I get closer to home, I always directed to other chargers, even though I have enough charge to make it home. I don't want to reduce my "buffer", now about 20 miles, because for other trips, chargers may not be plentiful enough.
