How long did it take to receive the title?

I picked up my R1T 2 weeks ago - wondering how long it is taking people to receive the title for their vehicle?

Probably depends on your state DMV more than anything.

My state is currently *NOTORIOUSLY* slow - We bought a new Mach-E in February, and still haven't gotten the title. We bought a vehicle from out of state last year, and it took four months to process.

Took delivery 3 weeks ago, don’t have anything from my state yet or the title.

2.5 weeks, nothing yet. Also no idea what's supposed to happen with registration, but at least the temp tag is good for another 2 months.

I asked my guide about title, tag, and registration on our 1 week follow-up, he said it could take a few months and would check with the Titling team, haven't heard back. If it's not done after a couple months, they'll send another temp Illinois plate.

I'm guessing they might have just gotten backlogged near the end of the month trying to stuff all the trucks out the door.

Mine was about 6 months - for TX (for a new car bought in 09/2021)

Unless you are trying to sell it, ?. title is just a piece of paper. Your temp plates should be good for a few months and Rivian can issue another set (as mentioned above)

I purchased, in full, my truck in May of 2022. I have not received my title or any new tags at this point.

Good luck, these folks are COMPLETE clown shoes.

On top of that their "24/7 owner customer service line" has been closed. It is now replaced by an automated message saying they will contact you within 3 business days.

Well, to my surprise my title and registration are appearing in my online portal with the Arizona DMV. State of AZ uses e-titles. Paper titles can be requested

I paid in full and took delivery on 9/12/2022. I logged in earlier this week and didn’t see the R1T in my portal, but it’s there now, along with my issued plate, as of 9/23/2022.

I don’t have the physical plate yet, but they usually arrive in the mail quickly.

This is a pleasant surprise.

Rivian actually has a dealers license in the State of Arizona so I think that’s a big part of why my process was so quick. My truck also came with temporary AZ tags rather than Illinois tags.

I’m sorry others have had such nightmares with this.

EDIT: Just noticed title and registration were issued 9/22/2022, so it took only 10 days.
